As mentors of life.....count it not strange when we experience things and recognize that in order to minister to someone you have to experience the life moments so you can tell someone else that will come in your path who have the same challenge so you can encourage them and not judge there live trails.....and tell them about the mercy of God that brought you through.
This week I finally went to Kingston to retrace my roots ...started from where I can remembers when
I was 9yrs old....going back ...wow... although the area is so different and busy with people. The house that I remembered on East Rd in Kingston, it was a big yard with the house I grew up in and I think about two other more. The house I grew up in although the structure is know different with additions, as I walk along the past I felt a sadness from the house I was not sure if it was the present of the person who live there now or from the past, wow live changes . The yard have more house in it , which felt so congested with the houses so close and in front of the gate you have this lady selling goods wow live as we go along it changes.
Remembering the corner store is replace by something else, the yard where Ms. Hammond lived when my mother used to live me when she went little....she have know past on new set of people .
Wow....revisiting the past you get a sense of gratitude especially where you are in your life, you may think your life is not moving, nothing is working out.....sometime if you will go and retrace your steps you have more gratitude for where you are now ....either you my cry from going but it will either put fire under you to say I am making it, I can go on look how far God has brought me from. Seeing the lover of the past that enter your life or you may have children with....taking a good minute and looking at the old loves and is like saying to yourself what was I thinking back then....wow gratitude of live how bitter sweet it can be.
I just retracing my mother home she's been gone for 30yrs and its a long time since I slept at the house ....I have made so my excuse in life before why I can't do this or that. But here I am and seeing how my niece and brother also Junior son Rohan what a good looking man he has become, all are grown people with their own family...and live past us by never stop to enjoy those past moment of seeing the growth of family member.
After leaving Portmore with Vern my cousin, we went to Old Harbour to see Vern mother, my Auntie 83yrs and she was so excite to see me. Seeing me was also like seeing her sister my mother, they say l look just like her and wearing my hair curly I look more like her. We sat her house and enjoy the moment that was really great. Oh I saw my cousin Uley she has a cute little clothing shop not too far from Auntie house.
This week has come to an end...coming from Old Harbour was a wow. Carol my sister took me to get the bus to Montego Bay she had to leave me to go to work. So I sat at the gas station where the bus comes to pick up but after sitting there for two hours I decided to ask someone about the bus and the gas attendant told me the last bus to Montego Bay has left already for the day you have to go Ohcio Reo for the bus.....make it shout it was a long ride ever since it was my first time going there.
And do you know, that the driver of the bus to Ohcio over charge me more for the fare...so I was in the bus park waiting for the bus to Montego Bay and I realize that the drive did not give me back change and I bravely when over to him where he was and said excuse me you had forgotten to give me my change so can I have my 20$ which is 2$ in USA money..... and he was like oh oh.
I start out at 7am reach Montego Bay around 4p is was so tired....I love Montego Bay so far...my goal is to learn the all 14 parishes (towns) in Jamaica. Enjoy this quote
